Christmas this year is especially memorable for us. to celebrate, our Christmas table was done up extra festive to mark a particular milestone for the family.
joining the gingerbread centrepiece this year is our collection of stars and snowflakes from the Swarovski Annual Edition Christmas Ornaments (one for each year we've been living here in Australia) and the Alessi Presepe nativity scene.
and in lieu of traditional Christmas crackers, i filled up silver cardboard stars with an assortment of chocolates and lollies.
good food, gorgeous weather, love & laughter – i don't know what more to ask for.
i trust you had a happy and enjoyable time with your loved ones too.

the standout dinner last week was at La Scala. that night i had:
baby octopus salad poached to tender perfection
slow cooked pork on pomme purée. this is certainly worth ordering again.
strawberry princess delight – layers of thin filo pasty, fresh strawberries and Frangelico cream dressed with a strawberry reduction sauce and topped with crushed hazelnuts – a favourite.
