wrapped up

i seldom blog about things from other brands that i own. but i recently bought something from Gucci that i just have to feature:

i know the kaffiyeh microtrend has gone mainstream already and is possibly on its way out. even i owned one of the traditional ones in the past. but i think this luxury version is quite versatile that it will remain wearable for many years to come. the large 133 cm square can be worn at least 8 different ways (that i can think of) plus the fact that its actually reversible instantly doubles the possibilities. this is how the Gucci website styles it:

it can also be worn straight and conventionally like so:

here’s how it looks like in reverse:

i was looking for a new scarf to wear with my new Damier Graphite items. the Petit Damier scarf from LV is nice, but a exact match may seem a bit contrived

i think Gucci offered a subtler alternative:

the flash might have distorted the image, but both sides match the Damier Graphite colours perfectly.

oh and by the way, it also comes in beige/brown too…

… if you’re not feeling grey =)

now i wish Gucci would release more colours in the future like navy blue or a nice khaki/olive green.

WOW, love these Gucci scarves. I should grab one too! Beige and brown would look good, too bad they don’t have it. Kenneth
